Under Meta's Virtual Reality Checks (VRCs), all apps with user-generated content, including multiplayer apps, are required to have an in-app user reporting mechanism accessible through the Meta Horizon button. Reports from your community will be sent directly to you, and it's your responsibility to manage them.

Before your users can report inappropriate behavior, they need to understand what is acceptable and unacceptable within your community. This guide provides a path to complying with Meta's content moderation requirements while crafting a process that works for your unique community.

Requirement:Enforce community rules on par with Meta's standards

Minimally, Meta expects that the behavior of your users meets the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences (CCVE). Review the CCVE and begin outlining the community rules you will enforce. As a best practice, use the CCVE as a starting point and continue working through this guide to create your own community rules.

Requirement:Provide an in-app reporting flow from the Meta Horizon button

Meta offers two solutions to help you meet this requirement:

Do you have an existing in-app reporting flow?

If you do NOT have an existing in-app reporting flow, enable and customize the User Reporting Service, an end-to-end solution.
