What
Organization Verification confirms the authenticity of developer organizations publishing or updating apps on the Meta Horizon platform. Meta will ask you for information and documentation to detect and prevent impersonation, fraud, and other risks. Click here to learn more about Org Verification.
Didn't I already verify my account?
You may have verified your developer account by providing a payment method and/or phone number. Org Verification is an additional layer of verification required to publish apps.
Why
Meta is committed to providing a better, more secure platform. Users trust Meta with their data. Those users, and the regulators that protect them, need to know about your and Meta's shared efforts to be good data stewards. Organization Verification allows you to prove that you're a legitimate business and/or person.

By verifying your organization, you are helping establish Meta Horizon as a platform users can trust.

What to expect
First, you'll confirm or update your information. Depending on which type of verification you select, you may have to provide supporting documents. Submission reviews typically take 48 hours but can take longer if Meta needs more information. The documents you submit will be kept on file for a year.
How
Submit your information for verification.
NOTE: You don't have to complete Org Verification in one sitting. You can exit and return later - the verification process will continue where you left off.
- Click here to navigate to the Org Manager
- Select "Verification" from the menu on the left side of the screen
- Choose verification type and get started. Both options are equally legitimate. Start by answering the question below.
Is your organization a legally recognized business?
Prepare
If your organization is a legally recognized entity, Business Verification might be the best option. You will provide a legal name, address, and phone number. You may need to provide additional information and documents. Make sure you can access that information, and that you're an authorized representative who can communicate and act on behalf of the organization. Business Verification never expires.
- Click "Start verification"
- Enter your organization's details and click "Next"
- Select the correct business from the list, or select "None of these match" if you don't see your organization
- Confirm your organization's details
Meta will look up these details in third party databases. If they can't find your business, Meta will ask you to submit documents that show your business name, address, and tax ID. Meta may also ask for documentation with your business phone and email if that information is not included in the databases.
What will I need?
Click here for a list of country-specific documents you can provide for Business Verification if requested. W9 documents and packing slips are not accepted.
If you don't have a business phone number, you can complete verification by using a business email. Meta may also verify that your organization's business name appears on your website.
- Choose how you want to receive your verification code (text, phone, email)
- Enter your verification code
I didn't get a verification code
Try requesting another verification code. If you still don't receive it, click here to troubleshoot phone issues, or click here to troubleshoot email deliverability issues.
- Click "Submit". Meta will notify you when the review is complete. Your submission will be approved, rejected, or Meta will request more information.
If your submission is rejected
Submit with more information, or go through Admin Verification.
If you submit Admin Verification, Meta will try to verify your identity.
Prepare
If your organization isn't a legal entity, or you don't have access to the resources you need, Admin Verification might be the right choice. You'll be the authorized representative who can communicate and act on behalf of your organization.
Keep in mind
An individual's Admin Verification expires in 5 years. An admin-verified org will become unverified when the last verified admin's status expires.
If your organization is NOT a legally recognized business, you don't have access to the information or documents you need, or you prefer to verify using your personal identification, follow these steps:
- Click "Add myself"
- Certify that you are an authorized representative of your organization and click "Continue"
- Click "Start verification". You'll be redirected to another Meta site to complete the verification process.
What will I need?
You'll need to upload a photo of an identity document such as a passport or driver's license. Your name and date of birth must match what you have provided in your verification submission. Make sure to follow Meta's guidelines:
- Show all 4 corners of the ID
- Keep the ID flat, and don't take the photo at an angle
- Use a dark background, not white or light-colored backgrounds
- Show all information on your ID. Use stickers or tape to hide sensitive information. Meta does not accept photos that have been digitally-modified
Meta will review your submission to verify the information you provided matches the identity documents you uploaded. Your submission will either be approved or rejected.
If your submission is rejected
If Meta can't confirm your identity with your government ID or two official documents, it could be due to the following:
- The photo of your ID didn't meet Meta's requirements. Try submitting your government ID again, and make sure it follows those guidelines (listed above).
- You've tried to submit your ID for verification too many times. To move forward with the verification process, another admin of your organization can submit their ID for verification.
