When you join the Meta Horizon platform, you partner with Meta to create a platform your shared users can trust. To keep those users safe, you are required to verify your organization before your app goes live. You have two options for verification: Business Verification or Admin Verification. Both verification paths are equally valid. Take a closer look at both options and their requirements below.
Choosing a Verification Path
Admin Verification may be the best fit if you…
- are not a legally recognized entity
- want your app to be available to potential users right away
- have a government-issued personal ID but don't have access to legal documents like a business license for your organization
- don't mind re-verifying every five years
Business Verification may be the best fit if you…
- are a legally recognized entity, such as a corporation
- are prepared with the information and legal documents you need
- can wait to bring your app to market until you gather the necessary documentation
When you are ready to verify, check out the resource HOW-TO GUIDE: Submitting Org Verification for step-by-step instructions to submit.
Meta processes most Organization Verification requests within 48 hours, unless additional documentation is requested. To help Meta process your request faster and avoid delays, use the information below.
Avoiding Delays in the Verification Process
Admin Verification
- Use the Submitting Org Verification Docs to help you submit documents that meet Meta's requirements
- Confirm the government-issued ID meets Meta's photo requirements
- Submit multiple admin's IDs to ensure if any one admin's ID expires, your organization is still verified
Business Verification
- Confirm your documentation's details, such as your address or contact information, are up-to-date
- Check for any country-specific requirements that may apply
- Use the Submitting Org Verification Docs to help you submit documents that meet Meta's requirements
- Consider applying for Admin Verification while you gather the required documentation to get your app on the market as soon as possible
